MrMixit puts a “spin” on the classic memory match type of game by adding DJ’ing theme and some fun beats to the mix. As the robot MrMixit, you drag different shapes on the screen down to two turntables and try to spin the images to match them up, and if they don’t then you can choose some more shapes and try again. The quicker you match up shapes the more time you get added to the clock which is always ticking and once it runs out of time its game over. As the levels progress more different pictures are added and it becomes harder to get more points. One thing I do not like about the matches is that it seems like you have to be just perfect in lining up the two different pictures and sometimes the turntables do not want to corporate with you. Spinning back and forth, missing the match each time can sometimes be beyond annoying. Also there is not much more than the matchmaking part of the game which is a bit of a bad part, but we should not expect so much out of a $0.99 game.
When it comes to the sound of the game, players are encouraged to wear headphones before the game starts, which is something I strongly, encourage as the beats sound better. The soundtrack of the game is what makes this game different and more enjoyable and adds to the overall theme of the game. You can even download the theme song through a menu within the game. The music might not be for everyone though as it could sound like it might be repeating for some. Unlike the sound which is one of the major draws of the game the graphics are probably swept under the rug. Personally, I liked the graphics and their simplicity, but this could also be a knock against the game for some. It all comes down to personal preference on this one.
All in all, the game is a great time waster for a buck and one that will really keep you entertained for a little while, and probably gives anyone who tries out your phone a decent time as well. This is a game that would be one to check out.
