Okay, let’s be honest, how many people have NOT heard of Angry Birds? If you haven’t, then you definitely have been living in a cave or under a rock for the last couple of years. I can see why Angry Birds has created such a commotion. Before this week I have not played a single Angry Birds game and I am reminded as to why. I can’t stop playing!
The animation of this game is fantastic. The birds all have different shapes and sizes as well as their own facial expressions. The enemy, green pigs are nothing more than just a green pig head. Some of them have moustaches, some of them are small some of them are big, some have bunny ears, but they are still just green pig heads. The funny thing is that if you don’t complete the level, the green pigs smile and make these funny snorting sounds that really piss me off because really they are laughing at me, so it makes me determined to play again and bomb them to smithereens.
Game play is quite simple. At first I was a little confused as to what each different colored bird does, but very quickly learned that each one has a special move that helps you bomb those annoying little pigs. The enemy pigs are always protected by rocks, wood, and cement blocks. Think of it as a puzzle and you have to use the birds to bomb your way through to the pigs. I know it sounds easy, but some of the puzzles are quite difficult and it makes you think. You can’t just shoot birds at these setups, you have to look at it and strategize where you want to aim your bird for maximum damage! More damage = more points.
This is a great game, huge replay value and the animation is very well done. The story is simple, but very cute and cartoony! This game at .99 is a steal!
